Job Description
I. RANGE OF DUTIES:
1. Master Data Management (Items & Configurations)
- Independently manage the end-to-end setup of regular product items, sub-products, assembly (assy) items, and phantom items within the ERP Dynamics system.
- Configure complex underlying settings for each item type to ensure accurate system behavior during planning and production.
- Maintain and adjust various configurations for product variants, ensuring all technical parameters align with R&D specifications.
2. BOM and Route Architecture (Standard & Test Environments)
- Lead the creation, updating, and adjustment of Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure the correct parts, assemblies, and phantoms are accurately reflected in the Job Cards.
- Direct the development of production Routes, including the sequencing of operations required to optimize flow and ensure system accuracy.
- Proactively create and manage "Test BOMs" and "Test Routes" driven by Change Requests (CR) n.
3. Product Lifecycle & Status Management
- Accountable for managing the product lifecycle within Dynamics, adjusting the status of parts and products based on CRs or Milestone-driven results.
- Ensure that all status changes are synchronized across departments to prevent the use of obsolete data.
4. Production Order (Job Card) Validation
- Perform rigorous checks on Production Orders to verify that adjusted BOMs and Routes generate the intended Job Card structure.
- Collaborate with the Production department to confirm that the system output matches the intended engineering intent post-Change Request.
5. System Integrity, Registering, and Audit Compliance
- Ensure 100% data integrity by maintaining comprehensive registration logs for all modifications made in Dynamics.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal/external audits.
- Establish and store clear documentation, simulations, and evidence for all system changes to support future tracing.
6. Leadership, Coaching, and Continuous Improvement
- Act as a technical resource/subject matter expert for the Dynamics database, coaching junior controllers and production staff on correct system utilization.
- Identify and suggest improvements in the BOM/Route process to minimize the gap between theoretical standards and actual production results.
II. FORMAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or Engineering
2. Professional knowledge of:
- Advanced mastery of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX/365).
- In-depth understanding of Manufacturing processes, BOM explosion, and Route logic.
- Solid knowledge of Change Request (CR) and milestone-based project management.
3. Knowledge of computer servicing: Experience with ERP and specifically with DYN365 is a must
4. Knowledge of foreign languages: English at a minimum of Pre-Intermediate or Level B/C to communicate effectively with global stakeholders
5. Professional experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in BOM/Cost controlling or Master Data management in an international manufacturing environment
