I/RANGE OF DUTIES:

1. PMC Engineering

General position description

The principal task is to manage/lead PMC Engineering team to drive result and strategy of new molds needs as well as molds copies, existing molds improvements.

This role is responsible for ensuring seamless transition of products design into manufacturing by aligning with Manufacturing Engineering, R&D and other internal teams within Sonion organization. The ideal candidate combines strong technical molding expertise with cross-functional leadership and a deep understanding.

Specific activities:

• Lead project management, procurement, production/process engineering end-to-end activities within Molding area.
• Drive design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) principles during the product development process.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Production and other departments to ensure alignment and timely mold and mold parts delivery.
• Define and manage molding project plans, budgets, resources, and risk assessments.
• Oversee tooling, fixtures, and equipment development needed for volume production around molding.
• Ensure all activities comply with quality, regulatory, and safety standards (e.g., ISO, machines design, SBS, ...).
• Mentor/Collaborative team environment to help team development.
• Manage the documentation flow. Ensure proper use of PDM and task system.
• Review of the progress of assigned task
• Intervene if the timeline is exceeded. Propose backup plan(s).
• Define the potential problems and risks which may occur during mold design or duplication.
• React in case of problems (both technical and organizational), proactively searching for external help if needed.
• Asses the feasibility of building given pieces of equipment. Decide on the delivery schedule in cooperation with Overall Project Managers (PMO, OPM).
• Plan and provide the necessary means to realize projects.
• Contact Project Managers and ME director to set up/agree on priorities and technical solutions.
• Asses the risk of new developments – technical, cost and timing
• React in case design(s) are overcomplicated

2.Team Management

• Oversees key projects - data and analysis, performance reports.

• Manages the Product Engineering budget. Establishes budget, meets budget targets, analyzes variances, and identifies cost reduction opportunities.

II/FORMAL REQUIREMENTS:

1.Education:

• Required:Technical University Major Mechanical, mechatronics, Industrial
• Preferable: Higher technical education (M.Sc.);

2.Professional knowledge of:

• Must have knowledge of Plastic Molding Manufacturing
• Must have knowledge of Plastic Molding Process/Tools design and development
• Projects planning/budgeting

3.Knowledge of computer servicing:Advanced in Microsoft Office

4.Knowledge of foreign languages:

• Required: English at Advance or IELTS 7+ level or equal
• Preferred: English at Upper-Advanced or IELTS 8+ level or equal
