Job Description
I. RANGE OF DUTIES:
1. Process/Production Engineer:
Project Charter: Assess the manufacturing process, automation concept, production implementation of the new Operation Automation project
Operation Project: Take responsibility for the Operation Projects to bring the automation implementation in production within the committed timeline and with the committed quality level and product cost.
- Lead automation project to bring the automation released in production within committed timeline and with committed quality level and product cost.
- Work closely together with Equipment Engineer (EE) team to develop IND platform for Sonion’s automation standard
- Corporate with Automation solution supplier to develop automated machine to replace manual process
- Responsible for automation concept review, process improvement/change, machine design review and machine validation to release automation solution for mass production
- Give input to project manager about the feasibility, timeline, and risks regarding the automation project.
- Review technical assessments of the work packages in the project charter relate to automated process and concept, propose staffing of resource
- Early involvement in the automation projects as contributor to automation concept, automated machine design concept, process/product concept change. Assess the automation feasibility of the concepts for production, inputs to the equipment FMEA.
- Conduct product/process failure analysis in cooperation with EE engineer/outsource supplier. Drive all development related failure modes to a conclusion and implements the corrective actions
- Responsible for automated machine requirements. Supply process specifications to Industrialization to build final equipment.
- Involve in sample development, sample build in case automation process support needs
- Take responsibility for the Production/Process Engineering deliverables in the automation project
New product/customer Project: Support automation process when project needed. Make all automation process development aligned with strategy and IND flatform of operation project
Cost reduction: Support process changing, optimizing and development in Automation projects and other cost reduction projects
2. Team Management:

II. FORMAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education: University (Electronics or mechanical engineering)
2. Professional knowledge of:
- Uses Sonion Lean (Development) Practices in daily work: LAMDA, Test to failure, Close the Loop, Multiple Concepts, etc.
- Proficient in the Sonion Lean (Development) Tools: Investigation Report, Decision Matrix, Cause Map, A3, etc.
- Must have knowledge of the Sonion Development Methodology
3. Languages: English at Advance or IELTS 7+ level or equal
4. Experience:
- At least 7 years in an Engineering Position.
- Preferred: Supervisory position
