I.RANGE OF DUTIES:
General position description
The Mechanical Design Supervisor principal task is to manage and arrange all work package of mechanical design team. Receiving the request for design equipment from projects, check and arrange/assign resources efficiency. Monitoring team performance and support team develop competencies to be able to drive projects success.
The person is responsible for preparation and implementation of a mechanical project of the machine / device and minimization of delays in the execution of orders for internal and external customers.
Mechanical Design Supervisor responsibilities:
- Supervision over a group of designers and arrange work package for the team members.
- Scheduling of work and planning/monitoring of resources for designer team.
- Recommending and reviewing technical solutions and evaluation of implemented technical solutions.
- Supervision over drawing database and setting ID number to new machines in the mechanical design engineering team, Caring for the quality of technical drawings and 3D models.
- Managing a subordinate team, including leading of the subordinate team, motivating, and supporting employees, resolving conflicts/difficulties.
- Setting up and review/evaluate performance appraisal of team members.
- Communication and cooperation with all company departments and their employees depending on the needs of the project.
- Building and maintaining good relations with cooperating companies/departments, building business partnerships.
- Contact point for mechanical designing related work e.g. technical assessment, design requests, PCE inputs…
- Leading feasibility assessment regarding to mechanical of improvements/automation ideas suggested by production/QA. Able to transform idea into practicable process/solution and implementation to production.
- Ensuring proper planning and supervision over the implementation of industrialization projects in the field of mechanical engineering for Sonion products and for external customers.
- Planning/execution/monitoring the training for designers about technical knowledge and competencies to develop the team. Make proposal for external training in case needed for the team.
- Weekly report about the mechanical design team activities to Industrialization manager.
- Perform other tasks which assigned by direct manager.

- Colleagues from Industrialization department.
- NPI and MA department
- QA, MA, PRO within company.
- Equipment suppliers and tool shops.
II. FORMAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education:
- Required: University, major in electronics, electrical, mechanic engineering
- Preferable: Master’s degree of Mechanical Engineering or Industrial management
2. Knowledge of computer servicing: Microsoft Office, Dynamics. AUTOCAD, SolidWorks, MS project
3. Knowledge of foreign languages: English (communicative: C level or equal)
