1. Principle tasks:

- Design production tools needed for new projects. Designs are done in Solid Works, resulting with 2d drawings which are sent later to equipment makers (e.g. internal or external tool shops). The basic knowledge is needed on basic metal working technologies (milling, turning, grinding, EDM). Also there is a requirement on practical knowledge on dimensioning and tolerances.

- Responsible for performing designs according to project requirements and participating into the project in good collaboration with other project members. In specific, the person will perform the following:

• Cooperate with PL Industrialization department when performing production lines design for VN/PH.
• Design production tools (fixtures, etc.)
• Develop and/or document all the machines modification
• Document of Kaizen related to machines
• Participate in projects fast lane/cat.1 projects which are run from VN
• Prepare upgrades/adaptation of existing machines for new products
• Support Industrialization department in collecting information needed for upgrades/ redesigns/retrofitting of existing machines by:
• Comparing the documentation with the actual machine status
• Participate in FMEA and design reviews
• Support Industrialization department by performing drawing cross checks, making 2d drawings etc.

2. Authorities:

• Proposing the solution which is optimal technical and cost wise
• Choosing suppliers of designed parts (out of the list of approved suppliers)

3. Communicates with:

• Industrialization project managers who are driving the relevant industrialization projects.
• Colleagues from mechanical design when performing part of the bigger task.
• Assembly engineers.
• Equipment suppliers and tool shops.

1. Education background: University, major in electronics, electrical, mechanic engineering

2. Experiences: 

• 2 years experience in mechanical design, product design, Kaizen documentation
• Prefered to have experiences in making tools for fixtures
• Can use Solid work in working

3. English: Good communicate in English 

4. Others: 

• Open mind, ability to fast learn
• Willingness to travel (PL, NL, PH)
